“To this end we always pray for you …”– praying for Christians undergoing persecution and afflictions (2 Thess 1:3-10)

How do we pray right during tough times?

Paul’s prayer for the Thessalonica Church shows two ways that we can pray right during tough times:

A. PRAYING WITH THE RIGHT REQUEST (v.11)

“… that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power”

B. PRAYING FOR THE RIGHT REASON (v.12)

“… so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him …”
