Pray for our missionaries
Holding the Rope for Our Missionaries!
William Carey famously told his colleague, Andrew Fuller, before leaving for India in 1793, “I will go down into the pit, if you will hold the rope.”
Our Covenant missionaries serve on the frontline of cross-cultural ministry, with some called to places that are challenging, and even hostile.
As supporters and senders of Covenant EFC, we have the shared responsibility to “hold the rope” for our missionaries — standing with them through faithful prayer and financial support.
Download our 30-Day prayer guide here, to partner God in what He is doing through our missions work in the regions, by sowing faithfully in prayer.
Indochina

Ps Glen, Bim, Philip and Matthew Westwood
Ps Glen and Bim have served in Thailand since 1996. Their greatest joy is seeing the Church revitalized towards greater authenticity and intentionality through local partnerships. Mentoring pastors, their wives, and leaders, has been their "humble portion", keeping them "real" in their personal discipleship and Kingdom assignment.

C, S and Family
C and S’s vision is to raise disciplemakers who establish discipleship-making church plants across the Himalayan region through training and mentoring, indigenous worship, and resource development.

CO
CO works alongside local partners, trains local believers, disciples the young with the vision of Jesus being worshipped amongst the Himalayan people.

KS
KS’s dream is to see a catalytic movement of healthy disciplemaking communities actively redeeming culture and society in Indochina, and beyond for God's glory.

W & SY
Guided by the vision "To Know Christ and To Make Christ Known," W and SY serve with a Missions agency in Indochina to disciple believers to overcome personal and spiritual conflicts and live fruitful, mature lives (Col 1:28-29).
South East Asia

PAL, YM and family
PAL and family serve in Southeast Asia, partnering with local churches to multiply disciplemaking churches and communities among the unreached and least reached.

Ps Sarah Chan
Ps Sarah leads the local foundation in Timor-Leste, and serves on the national LoveTimor core team, journeying with churches to disciple communities, develop leaders and catalyse community development initiatives — so the Gospel is not just heard, but seen transforming communities!

Kezia Soh
Kezia serves in Timor-Leste, partnering with Christian Vision Church (Aileu) to strengthen their disciplemaking culture and journey alongside them in community-building initiatives. She also serves with Pastor Sarah Chan in LoveTimor's regional initiatives.

Wong Li Shan
Li Shan co-founded Cocoon, an education initiative with preschool, after-school care and youth work. Back in Timor for a second season, she is laying foundations for teacher development and sustainable community transformation.

Victor, Myra and Daniella Omondi
Victor and Myra serve with CITAM-TL (Christ is The Answer Ministries – Timor-Leste) through a student hostel, livelihood project, and church ministry, discipling students and communities. Their vision is to raise local missional disciples and leaders who transform families and communities.

VL
“Go there, do a simple job and show My love” was what VL sensed the Lord saying when He called her to serve in Southeast Asia. Stepping out in faith to serve, build relationships, and show God’s love, she prays for open doors to reach the unreached.

EWL
EWL serves in South East Asia by teaching and mentoring children, and visiting their families. She believes that God has called her to sow love, help children grow, and bring hope to them and the family she serves.

AEP
AEP sensed God’s calling to South East Asia from the book of Ezra where the exiles were allowed to return to their homeland and rebuild the Temple. She felt God’s prompting to return to the place where she was born to reach out to her people there.
East Asia

Alex and Joyce Chew
Alex and Joyce long to see new community of Christ followers take root in Taiwan and multiply. They hope to make disciples who catch the heartbeat of disciple-making and pass it on to others.

Julia Tan
Julia’s heart is to come alongside Japanese churches, love people well and encourage family discipleship, so people across generations and backgrounds grow together in Christ within the same church community.

Dr Victor and Edna Chew
Dr Victor and Edna’s vision is to see God’s revival sweep through Japan. Victor serves as OMF’s field medical advisor, a member care role, while Edna supports the work in Chitose Light Chapel.

KB, R and Family
KB and family seek to catalyse local disciplemaking efforts, mobilize national workers, and coordinate resources for the extension of the Gospel amongst the least-reached persecuted regions in East Asia.
Central Asia

AK
AK serves with a Missions agency in Central Asia. She works with an unreached people’s group that has only a handful of believers. Her vision is to journey alongside these believers and to share the love of God with their local community through social projects.
