A. OUR READINESS TO SUFFER FOR THE LORD (1:1 – 3:13)

 “For you brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews.” – 1 Thessalonians 2:14

B. OUR READINESS TO PLEASE THE LORD (4:1–12)

“Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:1

C. OUR READINESS TO LIVE WITH THE LORD (4:13 – 5:28)

“ … who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:10
