Introduction
Work is a place for us to shine for Jesus. (Phil 2:15-16)
Our work is transformed when we anchor in:
A. GOD WHO IS OUR SIGNIFICANCE (Phil 3:7-8)
“Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (v.8a)
B. GOD WHO IS OUR SECURITY (Phil 3:9-11)
“that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death…” (v.10)
C. GOD WHO IS WORTHY OF OUR SURRENDER (Phil 3:12-14)
“But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead…” (v.13)
CONCLUSION
Our work in God’s hands is a possibility and a power!
Reflection Questions
1. What area do you struggle with the most at the workplace? Your significance (identity), your security (provision) or your surrender (of your drivenness)?
2. What is the upward call of Christ for you in the workplace? How can you run better without baggage?
