What does it look like when we approach God in dependence?
In Nehemiah 1:1-2:8, we see three key postures of dependence by which Nehemiah prays being:
A. HE PRAYS AS HIS FIRST PRIORITY (1:1-4)
“… I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven” (1:4)
B. HE PRAYS TRUSTING IN GOD’S PROMISES AND MERCY (1:5-11)
C. HE PRAYS BEFORE ACTING COURAGEOUSLY (2:1-8)
“Then the king said to me, “what are you requesting”. So I prayed to the God of Heaven.” (2:4)
