Student Internship Programme (SIP@CEFC)

We aim to raise the next generation to help lead the church and carry out our mission to Disciple Generations, Disciple Singapore and Disciple the Nations. The Student Internship Programme (SIP@CEFC) is an opportunity for students from Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to explore and experience working in Covenant EFC for a given period of time.

* Ministry Internship and Bible School Internship are not included as they are part of another programme.

I want to grow in my walk with God and gain a deeper understanding of the church.

Joash Nga

Who can join?

  • Students from IHLs who need to complete their term / final-year internship as part of their school curriculum.
  • Graduates of IHLs who are on a gap term waiting to enter their next-level studies or call to National Service.
  • Those who have completed National Service and are waiting to start university.

What are the requirements?

  • Recommendation by a Staff-in-Charge (SIC) from the ministry / operations team you are planning to have internship with.
  • Covenanters actively volunteering in a ministry is strongly preferred. If you are a Non-Covenanter, you can still be considered through a strong recommendation from SIC.

What is Covenant EFC looking for?

A good fit to Covenant EFC’s mission, vision and core values, in addition to the skills and knowledge in the internship role you are applying for. We are looking for 4Cs:

Calling

Alignment of God’s call upon your life to Covenant EFC’s calling to be an Intentional Disciplemaking Church (IDMC).

Character

  • Strong desire to grow shown through willingness to learn from various sources
  • Pursuit of excellence in all you do

Competence

Competent in the skills, experiences and qualifications required by the internship role you are applying for.

Chemistry

Works well with a diverse team and can collaborate effectively.

Gabriel Lee

I got to apply the skills I learnt from school and developed new skills too. I learnt how to communicate with other organisations and understand business perspectives.

How long is the internship?

Internship must last at least 6 weeks. There may be exceptions if it is approved by the Director of the Ministry / Department.

Will stipend be provided?

We will follow the IHL guidelines for student attachments, or provide a monthly internship allowance, whichever is applicable.

What’s the next step if I’m interested to apply?

Get in touch with us at recruit@cefc.org.sg  so we can share more details with you.

Through the internship, the Lord also showed me what He has called me to do in the next few years.

Looking ahead

We encourage interns who align well with Covenant EFC’s mission and values to consider returning for future internships at each milestone of your education. If the fit is right and God leads the way, we may also offer full-time ministry roles after graduation.
