When You Are Greatly Distressed

Introduction

David was greatly distressed in 1 Samuel 30.

What do you do when you are greatly distressed?

Two fundamental principles to hold onto when we are greatly distressed:

A. Strengthen Yourself in the Lord (vv.1-10)

“… But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” (v.6b)

B. Walk in the Way of the Lord (vv.11-31)

“They found an Egyptian and gave him bread … they shall share alike … sent part of the spoil to his friends” (vv.11, 24)

Conclusion

The Lord is my Salvation.
