Three Things That Are Needed
A. START WITH COMPASSION
“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them…” (14:14)
Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.” (15:32)
B. BRING YOUR CONTRIBUTION
“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Bring them here to me,” he said. (14:17-18)
“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.” (15:34)
C. IT’S ABOUT COLLABORATION
He gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. (14:19b)
Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. (15:36)
