Covenant EFC’s catalytic role in advancing the IDMC Movement is sustained by our healthy, vibrant and growing local church, serving as a model for what God can do when we embrace Jesus’ Great Commission of making disciples as the heart and soul of ministry.
The Lord has indeed enlarged Covenant’s disciplemaking impact in Singapore through the planting of three worship centres in Bukit Panjang (2000), Woodlands (2008) and the East (2016). We have been blessed with growth and expansion in each centre, stretching our infrastructures to their maximum capacity.
Thus, we have launched a year-long renovation project at Woodlands to accommodate expanding ministry and community outreach needs. In the near future, we need to carry out major redevelopment works in Bukit Panjang. The urgent need however is in the East where the congregation has tripled to over 800 in less than 3 years. The current facilities in Changi Business Park which are rented for Sunday services are no longer adequate to support the ministry needs.
The $40M Seed Fund will support our additional building infrastructure requirements through the year 2023. The money raised will go primarily to the immediate needs of Woodlands' renovation and the acquisition of a property to house Covenant East congregation.
