Project Help

Dear members and regular worshippers of Covenant Evangelical Free Church,

We are glad to announce that Project Help is now available as a resource for those affected by the challenging economic situation.

This is an initiative by our Senior Pastor Rev. Edmund Chan. It is funded by a seed love offering from Covenant EFC's full time staff and served by a full volunteer force from within the Church congregation. Our aim is to organise our human and financial resources through Project Help to meet the key practical needs of our congregation.

Project Help believes in holistic help. It focuses on being a practical resource to those who are experiencing job loss and/or financial difficulty. This is made possible because we have the requisite services available in the church, particularly in the areas of human resource, financial counselling or assistance. For other vital aspects of help, we will leverage on existing care networks within the Church.

It is chaired by Deacon Kirk Tan, and Associate Pastor Rev. Tan Kay Kiong is the Pastor-in-charge. Project Help reports to the Church Board.

It is our prayer that through blessing the congregation of Covenant EFC, Project Help will be a testimony to the pre-believing community. It is also our hope that the Project Help volunteers will experience the unspeakable joy in a wonderful journey of growing in servanthood and experiencing the love of Christ for His church.

As Jesus said, "By this, all men will know that we are His disciples, if you have love for one another" ~ John 13:35

In Him,

Deacon Kirk Tan                 Associate Pastor Rev. Tan Kay Kiong
Chairman, Project Help       Pastor, Project Help

Our Services

Project Help believes in providing holistic help and focuses on being a practical resource to individuals experiencing job loss and/or facing financial difficulty. This is made possible by certain key available services in the area of human resource (HR), financial counselling (FC), general counselling financial assistance (GCFA) and an ancillary service in the form of legal advisory. For other vital aspects of help, we will leverage on existing care networks within the church.

Application
Individuals seeking help in any of these areas are encouraged to complete and submit an application form either online or on a hardcopy available at both Worship Centres in Bukit Panjang and Woodlands on Sundays or at the Bukit Merah Church Office on weekdays.

Assessment
A dedicated administration support would then respond to applicants of Project Help and refer the applications to the relevant service teams, ie. HR, FC or GCFA and the assigned teams would further assess the applications by making contact with the respective applicants thereafter.

Administration
Where necessary, more than one service team may administer the application and further referrals may be made with the legal advisory team. This is to leverage on the strengths of each service and renders maximum help wherever required.

Accountability
The respective service team would follow through and recommend closure if no further action is required.
