Friday 08 July
Week 2, Day 8
PERSONAL PRAYER
1 Peter 4
Disciples of Christ will experience persecution and pain as they live out their faith in an unbelieving world. He calls His people to persevere and show deep love for one another
in the midst of suffering as love covers a multitude of sins. Believers will be judged for the things they do (2 Cor 5:10).
Reflect
• What is God saying to you regarding the suffering you are going through?
• Would you embrace your suffering and entrust yourself to God?
Pray
• Tell the Lord honestly about how you are feeling and thinking.
• Claim God’s promises in Galatians 6:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:16 and 1 Peter 5:10.
• Honour the Lord, our God, who identifies with us in our suffering.

Our Dream

Every disciple of Jesus Christ has a heart that
… burns with a passion for God, His holiness and the lost.
… prays God’s will and Kingdom purposes to be done in one’s own life and that of others, the church, the community, our nation and the world.
Every disciple to intercede for others in prayer.
Every disciple to influence God’s people and Kingdom through prayer.
Every disciple to ignite others to pray.
Three Greatest Prayer Needs
1. Everyone is convicted that God has appointed each one of us to pray.
2. Everyone embraces this privilege and responsibility to pray and truly pray!
3. Everyone prays for God’s will and Kingdom purposes, beyond personal needs, enjoys praying, ignites others to pray and does not fear praying.
