Tuesday 26 July
Week 5, Day 26
PERSONAL PRAYER
Read Matthew 25:31–46, 1 John 3:16–17 and Micah 6:8
Jesus requires of us to help those in need—feed the hungry, satisfy the thirsty, give shelter to the stranger, clothe the naked, visit both the sick and the prisoners? Jesus says, “To the extent you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”
Reflect
• When was the last time you served in the above-mentioned ways?
• Will Jesus say to you, “Come, inherit the Kingdom …”? or “Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire …”?
Pray
• Confess and repent as the Holy Spirit convicts you.
• Praise God for He cares for the helpless and downtrodden.
WATCHMAN PRAYER
Mandarin Ministry (Woodlands Centre)
Scripture
Matthew 9:37–38
Our Dream
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we dream of having compassion for the lost, reaching out and bringing a new hope and faith to them, just like Jesus does. It is our desire to see our Mandarin-speaking members bring the Good News to many pre-believing family members, friends and neighbours, and to equip them to disciple the next generation of Chinese-speaking believers. We want to welcome the many mainland Chinese whom God has brought to our doorstep, bring them towards Christ and integrate them into our church. We also want to reach out to the younger China students who have the potential of staying here long-term.
Three Greatest Prayer Needs
1. The Lord will unite the new leaders with a clear vision for the pioneering work of the Mandarin Ministry in Woodlands.
2. The setting up of an SGI in the Mandarin Ministry (WDL Centre) to strengthen the community life and pastoral care of the members.
3. The Lord will stir up a great passion in us to reach out to the pre-believing community locally (China students) and overseas through missions involvement in China.
